Net Neutrality … like Affordable Healthcare, Choice and Women’s Health — language twisted to the reverse

JustineBatemanNetNeutrality1The following #Statist drek is making the rounds again… someone famous (so they must be oh-so-clueful) wants you to hurry-up-and-act because something terrible-is-happening-right-now-and-we’re-the-only-ones-who-can-stop-it and well, here it is in total (though I’m not direct-linking because it’s a total fabrication):

THREAD: You are about to lose access to the Internet. Are you going to be able to handle that? Your entertainment, your banking, your socializing, your work, your everything is through the Internet. #NetNeutrality means each packet of info is treated “neutrally”; All packets are let through w/ the same treatment. This is about to end. FCC chair is removing that #NetNeutrality protection & the ISPs (your internet service providers) are abut to turn the Internet into Cable TV. Tiered pricing, limited access to premium sites, slow connections for those who won’t/can’t pay, lack of access to sites some ISP disagrees with, etc. You have a message you want to get out online? You have a site w/ a certain agenda? Maybe it will not be accessible anymore. Who knows. It doesn’t matter if we wildy disagree on issues. We will both be screwed of we don’t have #NetNeutrality. Get on the phones and call your reps. Tell them under no circumstances will you allow this. 1-844-872-0234. #NetNeutrality Call @AjitPaiFCC and tell him he has no right to touch #NetNeutrality. 1-888-225-5322.

#NetNeutrality is one of those words that labels a thing which is actually the opposite of what you get. The ploy is that there is a fear of ISPs (like Comcast) blocking or throttling services (like Netflix for instance) that they feel competes with their ability to be evil capitalists. The problem is 1) This has never happened (a solution in search of a problem) and 2) the Federal Government would GAIN OVERSIGHT – REGULATING CONTENT on the internet … because that’s a good thing, right?

Statist/Left-leaning publications are fans, but no legitimate trade rags are. Only people in favor of more government control want Net Neutrality. That would put us in a position like the Chinese (so much for the 1st Amendment).

The PRO people want you to believe that ‘AGAINSTS’ include only the ISPs. That is a lie.

Justine Bateman us, by the way, an actor. Not a professional truth-teller. And pretty easily swayed by her buddies. She wants you to go tell the government that you fear Comcast — and want more government instead. Like you did for your healthcare.

NO ‘Net-Neutrality’ for me, thank you. I have been fighting against this propaganda war for over a decade — a deliberate promotion of ignorance to gain mindshare.

Think of the person you know with the slowest, most unreliable connection to the internet. That’s the Lowest Common Denominator. Now apply the Left’s version of ‘equal access for all’ to access as a public service; people and organizations who want to, and are able to, pay a little more can’t get a faster pipe — which sounds great until now, all schools are limited to the speed the vendor provides to all schools… at the lowest rate that can be charged — to accomodate the poorest school. What will that do to the ISP’s interest in improving their network over the years?

And that’s not just Comcast and Ameritech. Your phone… 4G LTE would not exist had this been the philosophy that drove the industry over the last 10 years. Because if not everybody can afford it, it would be #unfair to provide it to customers who can… and CHOOSE to.

Ten years ago, there wasn’t an ObamaCare to compare Net Neutrality to — so we couldn’t say “Net Neutrality is ObamaCare for the Internet”. Now we can.

Conservative Reasons to a Liberal’s Query (Or, ‘Right Eye for a Left Guy’)

Eliseo[NOTE: Many of the answers here were well-thought-out, and many were not. Regardless of the side of the political aisle you may stand on, it’s clear that as humans, there is no shortage of ideas, and no shortage of those who choose to react rather than think, discuss, and coexist. Below, I tried to be clear about what I believe — though I am not claiming that it’s a common understanding, nor that I in some way need everyone else to believe what I do. But what I commented with at least shows some of the reasons I place myself firmly, and comfortably, on the Right.]

Glad to see someone asking instead of just joining the group to lob grenades (there’s been a lot of that lately). Here are some playlists that I have used in the recent past to explain just what it is that Conservatives try to ‘conserve’ (because opposing ideologies have not exactly been eager to explain these things without ‘bending’ the perspective):

On Political Systems:

On Economics:

On Ideological, Social, and Civil coexistence:

Generally, people (at least half the country) who believe in these things have not lived their lives, nor to they intend to in the future, in such a way to make other people do and believe what Conservatives do. It’s the structure of a society based on individual rights, individual freedoms, and the protection of the minority from the majority that drives a need for the Rule of Law — a law that protects, defends, and prosecutes equally regardless of creed, race, sexual orientation, or theology.

Unfortunately, the last 50 years have seen a virulent social-engineering campaign to paint Conservatives as the ones trying to take things away from people. There are two things wrong with that misunderstanding:

1) One of the primary differences between the Left and the Right is that modern liberalism teaches that the ‘pie is finite’ — that is, one person can’t gain unless another person loses. Libertarians, Conservatives, and yes… Capitalists (all of whom are being beaten up on by the Left) believe that the way a society grows is to grow the pie. That’s not just an economic ideology — but also social, theocratic, spiritual, education, influence, creativity, the list goes on. Recently, we have seen the Left ‘teach’ that in order for women, racial minorities, and LGBTQ folks to live well and succeed, the ‘white men’ in this country must be made to suffer. To borrow a phrase from Mr. Obama, “That’s not who we are.”

2) There are people who, regardless of their ideology, and regardless of the platform they are able to recruit believers to support, are seeking mostly, power for themselves. This is borne out by history, and is likely to never cease to be true. Recently, the Left has worked very hard to push an idea that sharing resources (whether by force or through volunteerism) is somehow a hedge against the negative impact of those seeking power. But that ignores that NEVER in the history of humanity has Socialism or Communism had a sustained effect of growth and health for a society; in fact, the opposite has ALWAYS been true.

Democracy, when led by the will of the people, rather than the structure of a republic (this is what the United States of America was constructed to be), is nothing more than two wolves and a goat, voting on what’s for dinner.

People who have voted for Trump are not putting their hope in one man… they are making a desperate leap of faith that for once, MAYBE we can have a country based on the wealth of our collective individuality, rather than our collected (and discarded) individual values.

The Left, if anyone is responsible for the rise of Donald Trump, has so much soiled our belief in a government and a society that can rescue us all, that we’re very very hopeful in any opportunity for the opposite to be true — that individuals can rescue what is left of our government and society.

Dear #BLM…

Dear #BLM: If you truly want to be treated EQUALLY, which black Americans are planning to step up and be killed by white people until the numbers are balanced? If you are still living with the prejudice of this engineered division, you are indeed carrying a burden — but it’s not the one you are believing in, shaking your fist in the air about, destroying property, hurting innocent people, or ‘educating’ others about. You Are Being Used.

Those of us who are awake want you to START ASKING WHY. WHO BENEFITS from racial strife in this country? WHO BENEFITS from broken families, children without fathers, communities without jobs? WHO BENEFITS from a broken society that has become so willing to take ANY help that they no longer care about what consequences come with the changes sold to them?

We are now at the point where people are blaming the country for how broken we are… but those ‘taking a knee’ are not fixing the problem… not offering a solution… they are only pointing a finger.

The Statists (people who believe that people are generally stupid and shouldn’t have the Right as individuals to govern themselves) tried to say that self-defense was a #RidiculousThing; why would anyone need a firearm? They FAILED at getting most of the country to give up that #CommonSense value of #SelfPreservation. Then they tried to get people to give up on their morals — and had a lot of success; but the #FundamentalTransformation wasn’t FAST ENOUGH for the Statists to seize enough power that it can’t be taken away from them in the next few elections.

So now they need a #CivilWar as an excuse to marshal enough power to #UnplugAmerica from all the tenets that have kept us free for centuries… #EqualProtectionUnderTheLaw, #IndividualFreedoms that overshadow the power of the government, #StatesRights that exist wherever powers haven’t already been defined as #FederalPowers in the #Constitution.

If you can’t see that these things are being TAKEN from you, the idea of rioting probably makes sense. But You’re Wrong. Don’t give up this country because you’re willing to let other people MAKE YOU THINK WHAT THEY TELL YOU TO THINK.

A buddy got his Indiana Lifetime License To Carry (his firearm) today, and posted about it to his friends…

Lots of them had questions for him about how long the process took, etc., so I stuck my foot in to play Cliff Claven… the following was my comment:

indiana-firearms-licenseI don’t know what the current stats are; but 10 years ago, 1 out of every 15 adults in Indiana had a carry permit.

A little background for the uninitiated: Indiana does not differentiate between concealed carry and open carry — though there are philosophical and tactical arguments for either preference, Indiana folks tend to carry concealed much more than openly; so chances are, you are sitting beside, and shopping beside, people who responsibly carry firearms every day.

To get a permit to carry, you are subjected to a federal background check, your fingerprints are recorded, and a fee is collected. We are a ‘shall issue’ state, which means unless the Sheriff or the State can find a reason that you don’t qualify (criminal background or mental instability), they grant the permit regardless of their personal opinion on the subject (many other states are ‘may issue’, which means they grant permits on a subjective basis — do they ‘believe’ you need it?).

If you are pulled over by a police officer, you are advised to alert the officer that you have a license to carry FIRST, then explain whether you are carrying at the moment, and where that firearm might be on your person (rather than saying, “Hi officer, I have a gun!”).

Having this permit does not give you legal license to ignore posted signs; having a firearm on federal property (even in the parking lot of the Post Office) is a federal offense, even with this card. Having a firearm in a privately-owned business that has posted a ‘no guns’ sign is not a federal crime — it is trespassing; and if you leave when an employee asks you to, they have no legal standing to pursue you.

However if you are of the mind to ‘stand up for your rights’ and argue with the business owner, I would direct you to a re-read of the Constitution, which limits the power of the Federal government, not the local ice cream shop, to decide how your rights extend across the boundaries of other’s rights. If you don’t like the stance of a business on the subject, feel free to educate them on your difference of opinion — but do so while respecting their right to tell you to go away.

TheFourRulesMost states honor other state’s carry permits (this is called ‘reciprocity’) — but Illinois does not honor ours, and Ohio only recently changed to be more permissive… not every lawman in Ohio is aware of this yet. So putting it in your trunk may avoid some heated discussions. Without a carry permit, people in Indiana can have as many firearms as they like in their home and in their car — it is preferred that no loaded weapons be accessible to the driver unless he/she has a carry permit (this relates, I think to statistical truths concerning the background check). But any adult can be armed without this documentation — it just gets harder to explain your good intentions without going through the process.

Statistically, people who are licensed to carry commit far fewer crimes than those who are not (again, relating back to passing the background check), and even a smaller percentage misbehave who are members of various associations and clubs that foster training, safety, and political awareness of firearm-related issues.

Regardless of who’s statistics you most believe, more than twice as many people use a gun successfully to defend themselves as those who use a gun to misbehave… and also statistically, gun ownership nationally and here in Indiana has exploded, while violent crime has continued to decline.

Though opponents of firearm ownership will point out that ‘Correlation Does Not Imply Causation’, the opposite is also true… in areas where gun ownership has been infringed upon, violent crime increases.

Suicide statistics that imply the presence of firearms contribute to the the number of attempts, will point out a decrease in the use of firearms in suicide deaths when firearms are scarce — however they do not show a decrease in the number of deaths by suicide including all other means (CDC and FBI numbers).

I’ll close with this: If you decided to go down this road, you will find lots of people who want to help you choose hardware and go target shooting — but the most important thing you can acquire is good training — learn the FOUR RULES.

The Left Can’t Get Rid Of Guns, So They’re Whittling Away Wherever They Can Get Mindshare

We’ve pointed it out often here, but legal firearm ownership keeps growing, and violent crime keeps going down. Now, every Leftist faced with those facts is quick to point out that correlation is not necessarily the same as causation… but it’s also true that:

  • When you make firearms more difficult to obtain, in those parts of the world where gun violence actually decreases, violent crime and death actually increasesthe bad guys just use knives, hammers, fists, fire, and strangulation more. And because people can’t defend themselves against larger, stronger, more immoral characters, their deaths are on the heads of those who disarmed them.

  • When there is less of a stigma to firearm ownership, training increases — which decreases accidental injuries and death.

  • When governments subjugate their populace, they begin by ensuring that there is little armed resistance. Saying that only happened hundreds of years ago only makes Leftists appear ignorant (we have the internet now, you know…).

  • Our culture used to be much more open about guns — people of all ages were less afraid of them because it was common to teach children how to behave around them (like any power tool). Though the Left claims that making drugs legal will bring it out of the shadows and decrease risky behavior, they don’t see the irony of their pretended ignorance when they see that they’re doing the opposite with firearms.

Long guns (anything that is bigger than a pistol) are not statistically relevant where mass shootings, violent crime, suicides, or accidental deaths are concerned. But the Left has found over the last 50 years that they can’t slow down Americans’ belief in self-determination, self-defense, and self-analysis.

So they work VERY hard at getting Americans to analyze OTHERS — division is their weapon of choice. And as they have with race-baiting, class warfare, and blame-redirection, they play a long game of half-truths, fear, and personality politics that gains lots of low-information (ignorant) people to their causes.

The latest in the engineered-fear campaign targeting AR-15 rifles:

When you choose #MobRule over #EqualProtectionUnderTheLaw, you get to yank the nation around as easily as you can yank the heartstrings of the most easily swayed majority you can drum up. Minorities are not protected by mobs — they are eaten. That’s why we are a nation of laws… not emotional appeals.

So when a long-standing opinion of an entire nation falls ‘out of fashion’, it cannot easily be destroyed just because an Activist generation of educators, media, politicians, and starlets chooses to ignore history and throw their voices behind ignorant rants and heavy-handed personality politics.

You have been warned for over 200 years that this is the behavior to expect when there isn’t a barrier to such destruction — but if you choose to believe that the Founding Fathers wrote and signed our Documents with no history of their own to draw upon, you MIGHT actually believe that is was them that were ignorant. But you wouldn’t just be wrong — you’d be an ‘enemy domestic’. Choose to support our Constitution, or leave. ‘Conquering’ it makes you an adversary who has no righteous place within our borders.

You can dislike me. You can hate me. You don’t get to define me.

Yeah, I saw that video the other day and a little cheer went up. Awesome message. But the post, and it’s title, above, I’ll say I found REALLY offensive (the author even admits he thinks and has written contrary to Cena’s message).

Why? Why is it necessary to completely sidestep what we know in our heads, with the rage that is in our hearts?

I know a lot of people will read this with the prejudices that are common about Conservatives (the real reason I got a little miffed even before clicking through) — why does the Left get to define what a Conservative is? Do Conservatives get to define what their ideological opponents are, or how they are motivated?

No. Not that we don’t try — as humans, it’s difficult not to play the game when so many people benefit from discord. But to lump in the #Conservative label with #Bigoted is an ideological leap… that is going to tear down, not build up, us as a nation.

I would really like to know what a #Liberal chooses to define themselves by — so far, all I have been able to find are arguments about why people on the Left disagree with their *perspective* of people on the Right. “I think [this] because I believe somebody else believes [that].” That is not a self-definition. Anyone?

For clarity, here is my best attempt at explaining what a modern American Conservative really is:

What We Believe – Bill Whittle

We are led, now, by people who have made a science out of discord, hate — even engineered rage. They are our university professors, our politicians, our news media, our Hollywood icons. Their amoral feasting upon the decimation of anything good serves them and them alone… yet we continue to refer to them as our ‘leaders’.

Why? Is it because we simply can’t find anyone else to be inspired by? That would indeed be a famine.

It’ time to stop being inspired by those who disrupt for fun and profit — and start looking to those who can, and do, build.

Paul Harvey – If I Were The Devil (How to Destroy America) (transcripted text)

Democracy as a religion…

For clarity:

Those who see Democracy as an ideology have forgotten that the torch-bearing mobs in the story of Frankenstein were a Democracy.

The fear-driven townspeople who burnt ‘witches’ in Salem were a Democracy.

The hooded, hate-driven bigots of the KKK were a Democracy.

Regardless of the purest intentions of those individuals participating, Mob Rule is still only brutal thuggishness, multiplied and reinforced by a belief that sheer numbers equate any belief or behavior to Righteousness if bolstered by enough Believers.

“Democracy is two wolves and a goat, voting on what’s for dinner.”

A nation based on LAW, on the other hand, can be reasoned, measured, and delivered — to provide Justice to all equally. To protect the Minority from the Majority.

True, it will still be upheld by imperfect humans; but the alternative is a society made up of successive generations of mobs. Like where we are now.

And where we are going.

Free House — just sign here…

[From the mailbag, another unattributed story with a lesson that has evidently escaped at least half of the country…]

ObamaSigningBillWANT A FREE HOUSE?

I was in my neighborhood restaurant this morning and was seated behind a group of jubilant individuals celebrating the coming implementation of the health care bill. I could not finish my breakfast. This is what ensued: They were a diverse group of several races and both sexes. I heard a young man exclaim, “Isn’t Obama like Jesus Christ? I mean, after all, he is healing the sick.”

A young woman enthusiastically proclaimed, “Yeah, and he does it for free. I cannot believe anyone would think that a free market wouldn’t work for health care.”

Another said, “The stupid Republicans want us all to starve to death so they can inherit all of the power. Obama should be made a Saint for what he did for those of us less fortunate.”

At this, I had more than enough. I arose from my seat, mustering all the restraint I could find, and approached their table. “Please excuse me; may I impose upon you for one moment?”

They smiled and welcomed me to the conversation. I stood at the end of their table, smiled as best I could and began an experiment.

FreeHouse“I would like to give one of you my house. It will cost you no money and I will pay all of the expenses and taxes for as long as you live there. Anyone interested?”

They looked at each other in astonishment. “Why would you do something like that?” asked a young man, “There isn’t anything for free in this world.” They began to laugh at me, as they did not realize this man had just made my point.

“I am serious, I will give you my house for free, no money whatsoever. Anyone interested?”

In unison, a resounding “Yeah” fills the room.

“Since there are too many of you, I will have to make a choice as to who receives this money-free bargain.”

I noticed an elderly couple was paying attention to the spectacle unfolding before their eyes, the old man shaking his head in apparent disgust.

“I tell you what; I will give it to the one of you most willing to obey my rules.”

Again, they looked at one another, an expression of bewilderment on their faces.

The perky young woman asked, “What are the rules?”

handoutsI smiled and said, “I don’t know. I have not yet defined them. However, it is a free home that I offer you.”

They giggled amongst themselves, the youngest of which said, “What an old coot. He must be crazy to give away his home. Go take your meds, old man.”

I smiled and leaned into the table a bit further. “I am serious, this is a legitimate offer.”

They gaped at me for a moment.

“I’ll take it you old fool. Where are the keys?” boasted the youngest among them.

“Then I presume you accept ALL of my terms then?” I asked.

The elderly couple seemed amused and entertained as they watched from the privacy of their table. “Oh yeah! Where do I sign up?”

I took a napkin and wrote, “I give this man my home, without the burden of financial obligation, so long as he accepts and abides by the terms that I shall set forth upon consummation of this transaction.”

I signed it and handed it to the young man who eagerly scratched out his signature.

“Where are the keys to my new house?” he asked in a mocking tone of voice.

All eyes were upon us as I stepped back from the table, pulling the keys from my pocket and dangling them before the excited new homeowner.

“Now that we have entered into this binding contract, witnessed by all of your friends, I have decided upon the conditions you are obligated to adhere to from this point forward. You may only live in the house for one hour a day.

You will not use anything inside of the home. You will obey me without question or resistance. I expect complete loyalty and admiration for this gift I bestow upon you. You will accept my commands and wishes with enthusiasm, no matter the nature. Your morals and principles shall be as mine. You will vote as I do, think as I do and do it with blind faith.

These are my terms. Here are your keys.” I reached the keys forward and the young man looked at me dumbfounded.

irs_welfare_money_381255“Are you out of your mind? Who would ever agree to those ridiculous terms?” the young man appeared irritated.

“You did when you signed this contract before reading it, understanding it and with the full knowledge that I would provide my conditions only after you committed to the agreement.”

The elderly man chuckled as his wife tried to restrain him. I was looking at a now silenced and bewildered group of people.

“You can shove that stupid deal up your ass old man. I want no part of it!” exclaimed the now infuriated young man.

‘You have committed to the contract, as witnessed by all of your friends. You cannot get out of the deal unless I agree to it. I do not intend to let you free now that I have you ensnared. I am the power you agreed to. I am the one you blindly and without thought chose to enslave yourself to. In short, I am your Master.”

At this, the table of celebrating individuals became a unified group against the unfairness of the deal.

After a few moments of unrepeatable comments and slurs, I revealed my true intent.

“What I did to you is what this administration and congress did to you with the health care legislation. I easily suckered you in and then revealed the real cost of the bargain. Your folly was in the belief that you can have something you did not earn, and for that which you did not earn, you willingly allowed someone else to think for you. Your failure to research, study and inform yourself permitted reason to escape you. You have entered into a trap from which you cannot flee. Your only chance of freedom is if your new Master gives it to you. A freedom that is given can also be taken away. Therefore, it is not freedom at all.”

i-want-your-moneyWith that, I tore up the napkin and placed it before the astonished young man. “This is the nature of your new health care legislation.”

I turned away to leave these few in thought and contemplation — and was surprised by applause.

The elderly gentleman, who was clearly entertained, shook my hand enthusiastically and said, “Thank you, Sir. These kids don’t understand Liberty.”

He refused to allow me to pay my bill as he said, “You earned this one. It is an honor to pick up the tab.”

I shook his hand in thanks, leaving the restaurant somewhat humbled and sensing a glimmer of hope for my beloved country.

She SHOT and KILLED her assailant? HOW HORRIBLE!!!

549505_226289400853259_1823456370_nCivilians aren’t in competition with the police — but also, we are not ‘in addition to’ the protections provided by the police. Rather, the police force’s ability to serve the community is ‘in addition to’ our own responsiblity to protect the lives of ourselves and that of those around us.

To believe that we should just LAY DOWN AND DIE (because self-defense is not any of our business) is an idea only of those who believe that the State is more important than Life itself — which is not just opposite what freedom and clarity was claimed in the Declaration of Independence… but also opposite of the idea that God has Created us (the State is only a creation of Mankind — a lesser thing than what God has put on this Earth by His own hand).

Leftist Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy agrees with religious zealots’ view that men not responsible (guns cause murder, attractive women cause rape)

So long as the People Who Hate Guns (more than they hate Evil People and Evil itself) keep trying to say that the NRA cheers the gun that Evil used, they make themselves out to be Fools That Believe People Have No Responsibility In The Matter. This is IN NO WAY DIFFERENT FROM THE RELIGIOUS EXTREMISTS WHO SAY THAT AN EXPOSED ANKLE FORCED A MAN TO RAPE A WOMAN.

Connecticut_Senator_Chris_MurphyThus, it becomes clear that the irrational zealots here are the anti-gun idealists.

Those of us who ‘cling to our guns and our religion‘, on the other hand, feel that our BEHAVIOR MATTERS more than what we may have clipped inside the back of our pants.

The NRA is simply one of many organizations that is working to KEEP LEFTISTS OUT OF OUR PANTS.

I would think that any decent marketing person looking for fans would appreciate that the public is smart enough to consider the NRA a benefit, not a detriment — regardless of the bigotry of Leftist zealots who value politics over human life and our right to self-defense.

Why should the 2nd Amendment be an important issue to EVERY CITIZEN — regardless of personal views on firearms?

I was asked to visit to chime in with my opinion on why I believe the Second Amendment is relevant to our nation today. Their server is apparently being overwhelmed; but luckily I did a quick Select-All/Copy before I hit the submit button (I’m a little paranoid where the stability of web forms is concerned). Here’s what I’ll paste in eventually (when their web guy feeds the squirrels):

It’s true that our politicians regularly lie to bolster their personal ideologies.

It’s true that our politicians regularly lie to strengthen their positions of power.

It’s true that our politicians abuse their authority up to and until they get caught and either have to dial it back or are ousted.

It’s true that any human being given power, unchecked, will consider their own needs before those they purport to serve.

So this country was founded with checks and balances that were not to be undone — not just including the web of inter-dependencies between the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of the Federal government — but also between the State itself and the People, who are armed with the written word, the ability to assemble, and the right to self-defense. These rights mean nothing if the People aren’t aware of them; they mean nothing if the People can’t exercise them; they mean nothing if they can be rescinded by a tyrannical State which deems them inconvenient.

Any politician who dares to lessen the strength of these checks and balances doesn’t just risk an end to his political career; by turning their backs on their oaths of office, they have committed vocational suicide — those who do not uphold that which they swear to protect have LET GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL, and are by definition no longer fit to drive the car.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that (or, why the Minimum Wage isn’t going to be enough to save our children’s generation)

Granny ax me to thank all Dimocrafts and Liberals for supporting afermative action. You vote showd the way to fair turn for everbody.

Yo fren,

The point is not that this girl is ‘doing it wrong’; the point is that no one has really helped her hit the right path. This story is a joke; but it might as well have been written by anyone (of any color, size, or ethnicity) that grew up in several of ths schools I attended as a teen.

From what I am learning about our competency rates now, I’m thinking that it’s getting much worse — not better.

I can’t blame the teachers; I’ve met some good ones. But the mandatory curriculum and chosen textbooks are laughable.

The Malkin Media Diversity Test

Take the test and leave your score in the comments!

“My new column is up. It’s on the ‘UNITY Journalists of Color’ convention being held this week in Washington, D.C. Both President Bush and Sen. John Kerry plan to make appearances, where they will try to out-P.C. each other in gag-worthy fashion.

I cooked up a little quiz for all these skin-deep diversity types and have invited my fellow “journalists of color” to show us their true colors. Feel free to send the test to your favorite mainstream media journalists and ask them for their scores. Test-takers get five points for every statement they mark “YES:”

1. I have never voted for a Democrat in my life.
2. I think my taxes are too high.
3. I supported Bill Clinton’s impeachment.
4. I voted for President Bush in 2000.
5. I am a gun owner.
6. I support school voucher programs.
7. I oppose condom distribution in public schools.
8. I oppose bilingual education.
9. I oppose gay marriage.
10. I want Social Security privatized.
11. I believe racial profiling at airports is common sense.
12. I shop at Wal-Mart.
13. I enjoy talk radio.
14. I am annoyed when news editors substitute the phrase ‘undocumented person’ for “illegal alien.”
15. I do not believe the phrase ‘a chink in the armor’ is offensive.
16. I eat meat.
17. I believe O.J. Simpson was guilty.
18. I cheered when I learned that Saddam Hussein had been captured.
19. I cry when I hear ‘Proud to be an American’ by Lee Greenwood.
20. I don’t believe the New York Times.”

My score is 92.5 (my jury’s still out on #17).

For those who haven’t ‘met’ her online, Michelle Malkin is no shrinking violet (or any other color) when victimhood-claiming liberals become apologists for Crayola-marketed media personalities.

Reasons Why I Could NEVER Be a Liberal

1. I can — and want to — solve my own problems.
2. I don’t feel bad about keeping the money that I earn; and I’d like YOU to be able to keep yours, too.
3. I am not afraid; I am annoyed.
4. I believe in God.
5. I’d rather find solutions to America’s problems than complain about them.
6. I’m not a good liar; and I actually know what lying is.
7. When I see the six colors of the rainbow, all it brings to mind is the old Apple logo.
8. I know what IS is.
9. Having a job keeps me from all the best protest marches.
10. I can support myself, thanks.
11. I’m really not that angry.
12. I think that a country for the people and by the people should be governed by laws based on the wants of the majority, not of whiney, crazed extremists; and that it is no better to be ruled by tyrants from the bottom-up than it would be by tyrants from the top-down.
13. I know that the United States is the GREATEST gift to her people on Earth.
